Why Choose PSA of Tulsa
Our goal is simple: to provide safe, expert evaluation and treatment of each patient as if she or he were a member of our own family.
Once prospective patients make contact with our office, they are greeted in a friendly professional manner. Effort is taken to make each
encounter individualized and efficient. Very aware of the value of our patients' busy schedules, we are respectful of their time and strive
to meet every need with cheerful promptness. Our surgeons are committed to the well being of each patient and recommend procedures that will
meet her or his goals. We rely on techniques and services that have been proven safe and highly effective in producing excellent results.
Gimmicks and "new" treatments that have no scientific track record are usually disappointing and have no place in our practice. Continuing
medical education keeps us at the forefront of progress in the cosmetic surgery field. Patients place a great deal of trust in our hands, and
we take that charge very seriously. Excellent results require a team effort, and we are prepared to give each patient our best!
A Quick Guide to Successful Plastic Surgery
Choose an Excellent Plastic Surgeon by answering 5 simple questions!
Does the surgeon have:
- Board Certification from the American Board of PLASTIC SURGERY?
This Board requires graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of a surgical residency, then completion of formal training in plastic
surgery, passage of both written and oral board examinations, and finally demonstration of high ethical standards in actual practice to a national
group of practicing plastic surgeons. In all this process takes at least 12 years to successfully complete!!
- Superior training in plastic and cosmetic surgery?
The surgeon should have completed a well rounded residency directed by nationally known leaders in the field and approved by the ACGME, the national
accreditation board for medical education. Many times an additional year of training that concentrates in aesthetic surgery has been obtained in the
form a fellowship.
- Extensive experience in the services offered?
The surgeon should perform the procedure on a regular basis. He should be able to take excellent care of the patient after the initial surgery especially
when the outcome is not “as expected” and secondary surgery may be needed.
- Privileges at a reputable and accredited hospital?
All surgeons have passed rigorous credentialing by the hospital that they are proficient to perform your procedure before they are allowed to operate.
Even if your procedure is to be performed in an office operating suite, that surgeon should have the “privilege” or be endorsed by the hospital to do
the same procedure in the hospital.
- The endorsement of family and friends who were past patients.
In addition to great credentials, a positive experience by patients who have had the procedure you want can give you reassurance that you have come to
the right office and, more importantly, the right doctor!
